Engraving Guide

Every Forae piece is finished by hand and engraved to your words. Here's how to make yours perfect.

What can be engraved

Names, initials, dates, coordinates, a short phrase or a word that means something only to you. Most pieces hold up to 60 characters; delicate charms suit 1–12 characters best.

How to add it

Type your text into the Personalisation box on the product page before adding to your bag. Write it exactly as you'd like it to appear — we engrave what you type, including capitals and punctuation.

Fit & placement

Longer text is engraved smaller to fit the piece. Bar necklaces read left to right; discs and hearts are centred. If a request won't fit beautifully, we'll email you before we begin.

Timing

Engraving is complimentary and adds no extra time: every piece is made to order within 3 business days, then shipped with tracking.

Personalised pieces are made uniquely for you and cannot be returned or exchanged, so please double-check spelling and dates before checkout.
